Frequently Asked Question

At Inghams Aussie, we aim to make your experience as seamless and transparent as possible. Whether you’re a freight forwarder, vessel owner, or freight aggregator, our platform is built to meet the diverse needs of the global logistics community. Below are some common questions and answers to help you get started with Inghams Aussie.
  • How does Inghams Aussie's payment system work?

Inghams Aussie's payment system which is like an escrow securely holds funds during the transaction process to protect both parties. Once the freight forwarder and vessel owner agree on the shipping terms including the Bill of Lading and other documents, the freight forwarder deposits the agreed payment into Inghams Aussie's account. The shipper releases the shipping documents only when the freight forwarder confirms the terms have been met, and funds are released after both parties confirm that everything is complete.

  • How do I get started with Inghams Aussie?

To begin using Inghams Aussie, you'll need to schedule a short introductory call or email exchange with us to understand how our platform works and ensure it's the right solution for you. After the call, you can proceed to access the white-labeled software. There is an initial fee of AUD 10,000, which covers the setup and onboarding process. This fee is fully adjusted against your transaction fees once you start using our escrow and payment system, effectively making the software free. This setup fee is only applicable if the software is taken and not used; if you choose to use the platform for transactions, the fee is credited towards your service charges.

  • Are there any hidden costs or extra charges?

No, there are no hidden fees or surprise charges. Our pricing structure is transparent. The only cost associated with using Inghams Aussie is the small commission on each transaction, which depends on the size of the shipment. You only pay for the service when you use it. The initial AUD 10,000 fee is credited towards future transaction fees, effectively covering the software cost as long as the platform is actively used.

  • What is the pricing structure for using the escrow service?

Our pricing is designed to be flexible and fair, with rates based on the size of the transaction. Here’s how our fees break down: For shipments below $35,000 USD: We charge 4% of the total shipment value. For shipments between $35,000 USD and $100,000 USD: The commission is 3.5% of the total shipment value. For shipments above $100,000 USD: The commission is 3% of the total shipment value. These fees are only applied when the transaction is successfully completed and payments are processed through the Inghams Aussie payment system.

  • What if I only want to use the software but not the payment system?

If you opt to take the white-labeled software but decide not to use the escrow and payment system, the AUD 10,000 fee will still apply. However, this fee will be adjusted and credited towards your transaction fees if you later decide to start using the system for payments. The software itself remains free as long as the payment system is actively used.

  • Can I use Inghams Aussie if my company is small or just starting out?

Yes! Inghams Aussie is designed for businesses of all sizes. Whether you’re a small freight forwarder or a large logistics company, our platform offers a cost-effective solution. The AUD 10,000 setup fee is credited towards your transaction fees, so as long as you actively use the system, there are no ongoing costs for the software itself. The transaction fees are tailored to the value of the shipment, making it easy to scale your operations.

  • How do I know my payment and transaction data are secure?

Inghams Aussie uses industry-standard encryption protocols to ensure that all sensitive data—including transaction details and payment information—is securely handled. Our escrow system guarantees that funds are held securely and only released once the agreed-upon conditions are met, providing you with peace of mind. We can also help you integrate third party encryption systems.

  • How quickly can I start using Inghams Aussie after signing up?

Once you’ve completed the initial call and made the setup payment of AUD 10,000, you’ll have access to the white-labeled software and the payment system, which will be usable only after agreements are in place. Our team will guide you through the onboarding process, which typically takes 1-2 business days. After that, you can start using the platform for your freight management and payment processing needs immediately.

  • Can I add multiple shipping partners or agents to my Inghams Aussie account?

Yes! Inghams Aussie allows you to easily add and manage multiple shipping partners or agents. Whether you’re working with vessel owners, freight forwarders, or other agents, our platform supports integration with your existing network, allowing you to streamline operations, manage transactions, and ensure efficient payment processing all in one place.

  • What types of shipping documents can I manage on Inghams Aussie?

You can manage all your essential shipping documents through Inghams Aussie, including Bills of Lading (BL), invoices, customs declarations, and more. Our platform makes it easy to upload, track, and store these documents securely, keeping everything organized and accessible at any time.

  • How long does it take to process payments once conditions are met?

Once both the freight forwarder and the vessel owner confirm that all conditions have been met and the shipping documents have been released, the payment will be processed. Typically, payments are released within 1–2 business days after the final confirmation. This ensures that both parties are protected and that the transaction is completed smoothly.
